Henri's second week in Rotterdam!

2. WEEK: (30.04-06.05)

Day 8: Monday

Me and Endrik woke up around 7 in the morning. I had a quick shower to freshen myself a little bit. Endrik started making his healthy lunch, because he has these 2 bets with a friend and father, that's if he doesn't have 6-pack of abs for 1st of June, then he loses money and has to shave his eyebrow. That's great for us, because of that me and Brenet are also living healthy lifestyle. Had some bananas and yogurt for breakfast. Brenet woke up before 7.30, had same rituals as I did and we started our bikeride as usual, couple minutes past 8. Arrived on time, even couple minutes earlier.
We had some coffee before heading to Contact Center. For this week, we were out working with engineers. My first day out was with Michel, Brenet was with Vincent. Around 9.20 we started heading toward Deventer, a city near Germany's border. We drove there over one hour and 20 minutes. I used this time to watch out of car's window to admire the architecture and nature of the Netherlands. During drive, Michel listened, sometimes watched Spartacus which was very interesting TV-show. We picked up couple TVs from MediaMarkt and headed to our clients to install them. Our first client was this lovely elderly couple, who offered us coffee to drink which I nicely accepted. We installed another TV to eldely couple near Deventer. On our way back, Michel repaired one China dude's laptop, where I couldn't even see the problem he wanted us to repair for him. Michel just took laptop apart, screwed some screws and put it back together. Dude was happy with the job done and we left. Michel basically didn't do anything there, but he fixed the problem so alles good.
I was at 4.30 pm at the entrance of our company. This was a fast day! Because of that I thought it is wise to go home by different road and look around a little bit. I found this amazing mill and a little port around it - what a beautiful view! My phone's battery died on my way back home, but luckily I had watched 2 minutes before where home should be, so I have a atleast direction and arrived home at 5pm. Brenet arrived a little bit before 9pm, long day for him hehe! He and Endrik went to gym, I made myself some frozen Rundvlee Krokets(Croquettes) which were not as delicious as I had hoped for. Better buy them from bars and restaurant where they are very delicious. I drank some smoothie and went to sleep around 11.

Day 9: Tuesday

Same rituals as the morning before and only during the bike ride I had a little stomach ache from the Krokets I had eaten yesterday. My today's partner was Vincent, Brenet was with Joey. First we drove to Breda, where we took our TV and went to elderly home, in Delft. Elderly homes here are totally different from the ones we have. They have these beautiful 10-floored buildings designed for specially them(elevators, doors etc.) Then we went to Den Hague, where we installed 65-inch TV to Muslim family, where mother couldn't shake our hands, which was new for me. Then we took another 2 TVs and installed them to English-speaking Arab who was very friendly, he spoke to me all the time in English and told me he has moved here from Eindhoven and his family will finally come to the Netherlands, where his children can go to high school in Den Hague. After 10 years, family is finally reunited! Good father, really wanted that his kids would enjoy the home and that's why he installed these big TVs too. I think he managed it! Only sad thing was that we had to wait 20 minutes for him to come back with the money, he said:"5 minutes only".
We started driving to Rotterdam couple minutes before 7 pm and I arrived home a half past 9, Vincent was kind of enough to give me and my bike a lift. It was a long day! For dinner, me and Brenet made some chicken with vegetables and I watched Liverpool - Roma game, which Liverpool won, good for them and Estonians. I don't like the maccaroni-boys since the Zidane-Materazzi incident, so I didn't feel sorry for them. I went to sleep around 11 pm.

Day 10: Wednesday

Morning like mornings before. Only this morning, I rode my bike alone, because Brenet had agreement with Joey that they will start at 11 and will work late. No worries, it was nice sunny morning finally and I really enjoyed the ride.
My today's colleague was Michel again, which I really liked. Michel's a cool guy, I found out he is into extreme sports and fresh-father, 4-month-old daughter is waiting him at home. We watched some Spartacus and chatted.
All our clients for today were living in Northern part of the Netherlands. First we installed a TV for this nice elderly man who lived in Zoetermeer. He had 2 wonderful playful cats and he didn't mind if I played with them. Then we drove to elderly couple's home, where we constructed a electric plug, well Michel did, I just watched and learned.
After that, we drove to Asmtelveen, where we installed laptop and printer for lovely Lotty. Task was completed quickly, also I found out Lotty is coming to Estonia in July! I wished him a good trip and to enjoy nature in Estonia, she said same to me.
Heemskerk was our next destination, where was another lovely elderly Spanish woman, who had many books about Arab-Spain. She had the best Surname after Tamvere ofcourse - Henriquez. Loved it!
Amsterdam-Zuit was our last destination, where we installed 3 printers for this Indian man. Amsterdam's greatness was seen already tens of kilometres before the City and we only drove to suburb of Amsterdam, but there were skyscrapers everywhere! We completed our today's tasks by 4.15 pm and started heading back towards Rotterdam. We had to drive only like 60 km with allowed speed of 130 km/h, but it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes due to massive traffic-jams. I fell asleep and kind of teleported myself to Rotterdam, made a same joke to Michel and he really liked the joke, he must have heard it for first time, hehe, good for me, what a funny guy I am... hehehehe. Michel also praised me that I am a bright student, yeeee.
Brenet was still at work, so I rode back alone, too. In the evening, I had my first training on the bars near our hams. Did pull-ups, push-up, sit-up and lower-back training - was a good one! Also, I met with some friendly dude, who was also training there, we wished each other a nice evening and I came home, heated up yesterday's dinner. We went to get some groceries and I layed on a bed for a while. We found out, we have mice in our home! That's is not good. We set up the bait(bread) to secure our doubts. At night, Brenet and Tarvi saw mice running on the table, they had managed to get into our light-bread collection, but didn't take a bite out of bread we had baited for them. Darn mice! We have to ask, what to do with the unwelcomed guests. Well, I fell asleep around midnight.

Day 11: Thursday

Oh how sweet dreams were, it was hard to wake up. I woke up at 7.15 because I had learned from earlier days I can manage with my morning rituals in 45 minutes. Made me some sandwiches for workday, because we don't do lunch-breaks, we eat when we are driving. But... I left them at home on the table! 😁
Today was brilliant weather, over 20 degrees and sunny. I was with Vincent today and all our clients lived in Southern part of the Netherlands. We chatted and he told me he is from Ghana and has lived here over 20 years now. He is a calm and a hard-working man.
Our first TV we picked up from Breda and installed it to young couples' home, I said them to enjoy their new home which they were really fond of. We got warm goodbyes and left towards Tillburg via Rijen. We installed a TV to lovely elderly couple and went to another lovely person's home - housewife and mother of 3(soon to be 4). Installed a TV on the wall without difficulties and headed towards Den Bosch where lived a elderly woman who smoke in her home, something I don't like at all. I could bare it at first, but then I got used to it. While we were there, she also smoked and this wasn't good. We did as quickly as we could and left, but when we got into car, we smelt like an ashtray. We picked up another TV from local MediaMarkt and installed it for Turkish family. They were really cool and chatty, I liked them. They said we were professionals and were satisfied with our work. We started heading towards Rotterdam at 5 pm, but due to traffic-jams once again I was at home by 7.
Me, Endrik and Brenet went to get some groceries, made ourselves some Chilli con Carne and salad which was goooood, almost swallowed my tongue hehehe. Brenet and Endrik played some videogames, I read news and surfed in the internet, Tarvi watched Arsenal - Atletico Madrid football match. Drank some smoothie again and fell asleep at 11 o'clock.

Day 12: Friday

Oeh, maybe the hardest mornings here, I didn't want to rise from bed at all! Layed there like 10 minutes, when I finally thought it's time to get up. Morning rituals & bike ride. For breakfast I had a banana. This was last work-day of this week, so we were feeling positive. Weather outside was delightful. There was a change of plans in work, because Brenet had to go with Vincent and I had to stay inside to help test laptops as we did earlier week. I had much work and chatted a lot with colleagues, got to know many of them! Lunch-break came so quickly that I didn't even realise which is the best. After lunch-break I had to help-out Anthony with the packing of printers, so I started looking for parts. 5 pm didn't want to arrive at all, but when it finally came, I had to help out Anthony for another 30 minutes - I didn't want to leave him alone with all the work.
Back home, was one of the best rides home so far. I was driving alone, so I was listening to Ed Sheeran who sang about positivity, weather was sunny and sky was clear, it was over 25 degrees - I really enjoyed the ride. Back home I saw my friends, 3 bunnies, who are living next to very busy road, but no predators there, so good for them hehe 😋
At home, I heated up last night's dinner, had a shower and rested from the day. Brenet arrived a bit before 8 and was also very tired. Around 9 pm, we decided we have to do something with our Friday and Brenet found a local party with over 2500 people going. Tarvi went to cinema to watch Avengers. We started our ride to partyplace around midnight, it was over 5km there and over Erasmus' bridge. Hehe, after all the bike rides, the bridge was easy challenge for me and Brenet, Endrik was first-timer and had some minor difficulties.
Party was great, there were so many people, music was good, lightshow was awesome, club was very big - something we don't have in Estonia. Tickets cost 35 euros. We were at a party til 3 am, when we got too tired and decided to go home. Everyone were exhausted from the week and it seemed like a very good plan. On our way back, we grabbed some burgers from McDonalds. At home, noone couldn't stay awake longer than 20 minutes, I drank some water and fell asleep around 4 am.

Peo valgus-show:

Day 13: Saturday

Woke up at noon, had some tea and 2 banans for breakfast. At 2 o'clock Endrik and Brenet went to gym and I went to bars. Tarvi went to shopping. Weather was nice again, 26 degrees and sunny - best for some bar-training session. I left my waterbottle at home, so I had to rush with my training, because sun was too hot. At home, I had a quick shower, some chicken and sandwich for supper and boys also came back from gym. We decided to go shopping and rode our bikes to Centre. We wanted to find Primark, but couldn't, instead we found this 4-floored clothing store Hudson's Bay, where I bought myself a nice blue T-shirt for 13 euros, Endrik bought himself a nice green sweater. We also visited sports store, where Brenet could buy his long-wanted flip-flops. I bought myself 2 Puma boxers with 16 euros.
We had another Chilli con Carne for dinner, because it is just sooo good and also we had bought 2 packs of 400 gram minced meat, so we had to use the one that was left.
Boys started to play some videogames, I grabbed myself a 6pack of 0,33 Heinekens and started to watch Spartacus. Others went to sleep around midnight, I went to grab some snacks and finished my 3rd and 4th beer, drank some water and fell asleep around 3 am.

Some not-so-cheap cars in the Centre of Rotterdam:

Day 14: Sunday

I woke up pretty early for a Sunday - a bit past 10 am. Brenet woke up around noon, so I had to be quiet. Weather was even nicer than yesterday, extra 2 degrees, so I decided to enjoy the sun and sunbathed an hour in our little "yard".
We had some breakfast and went to Centre. It was even hotter there! We visited a big candy store, where I bought myself 4 twinkies, because I had never tried any! I think there are a lot better sweets but they are also okay. We also visited MediaMarkt, where was so much new technology, it was very interesting. We ate supper in Markethal, I ate a Taco, Brenet and Endrik salads and Tarvi hot dog. My Taco was good, I liked it.
On our way back, I bought 1 Fanta from our local Dirk(grocery store) and because of such weather, we couldn't stay inside and went to park. We just laid on grass and enjoyed the sping's sun. We got home around 7, heated up yesterday's food and went to sleep early. I watched some Spartacus and fell asleep at 10.
